Tim Harrison
President
It started with an Apple IIe. Tim was eight or nine when his dad brought one home, and he spent hours watching a little dot fly around in a flight simulator. Then he found the programming code printed in the back of PC World, typed those games in line by line, and got hooked on the idea that you could make the machine do things. HTML and websites came next when the internet showed up, and eventually a Computer Integrated Manufacturing degree from Purdue — CS classes mixed in with the engineering and shop-floor side of things. Most of his career was spent selling, implementing, and supporting software as part of larger material handling automation systems. He saw a lot of how the industry actually treats the people writing the checks. And he didn't love it. Aslan started with a favor. A guy named Ted McClure asked Tim for help with his website — nothing dramatic — and it got him thinking: if Ted's struggling with this, how many other businesses are too? Enough, it turned out. The thing that bothered Tim most was the SaaS playbook: build it "sticky," make leaving painful, and quietly hold a client's own data and tools hostage. He thought that was backwards. So Aslan was built on the opposite bet — you pay to have software built, you own it. Code, data, IP, all of it. No subscriptions, no lock-in, no leverage held over your head. The name comes from C.S. Lewis's lion: quiet strength, good work, no fanfare. When he's not building, Tim's with his kids, in the gym, or at the beach. He and his lovely wife have a lot of fun together — she's sharp, loves history as much as he does, and most of their best conversations start with one of them wandering down some historical rabbit hole and not climbing back out.
Russ Meade
VP - Partnerships
Russ Meade brings a rare combination of grit, loyalty, and genuine relationship-building to his role as VP of Partnerships at Aslan Advisors. Whether he's identifying new opportunities or deepening connections with existing clients, Russ's approach is rooted in something simple: people come first. His path to this role is anything but ordinary. Russ spent 30 years leading sales and customer service for a vending company, and along the way founded, built, and sold three businesses of his own. That entrepreneurial track record gives him an instinctive understanding of what clients are really navigating — the risks, the stakes, and what it takes to grow something from the ground up. Before any of that, Russ served as a United States Marine, including a deployment to Fallujah, Iraq in 2005. That experience shaped everything that came after — his discipline, his commitment, and the way he shows up for the people counting on him. Football has been a constant thread throughout his life as well. Russ played college ball at Lenoir-Rhyne University, spent eight years coaching, and today scouts and recruits for the University of North Carolina football program alongside Coach Bill Belichick. When he's not working, you'll find Russ trail running, bow hunting, hitting the gym, or diving into a good book. Most importantly, he loves time with his kids and grandkids. Based in Scottsdale, Arizona, he makes it back to North Carolina at least once a month — and honestly, probably wishes it were more.
Lindsay Voris
VP - Partnerships
Lindsay has spent 18 years in sales and business development where she developed a love for solving problems, putting the pieces of the puzzle together. As VP of Partnerships at Aslan, she brings that belief to every conversation — connecting founders and operators with custom-built software that actually fits how they work. Her path here wasn’t a straight line. Lindsay spent years in employee benefit/insurance sales before moving into technology, driven by a belief that tech solutions could fix what broken systems were costing real people. What she found in the tech world wasn’t the solution she hoped for — it was a growing pile of point solutions that didn’t connect to each other, one-size-fits-all platforms that forced costly workarounds, and customers paying more while getting less. When Tim founded Aslan and she discovered that businesses of any size could afford to own custom-built software — software designed around their exact workflows, eliminating duplicate entries, connecting the tools they actually liked — she couldn’t unsee it. She had to be part of bringing that to the people who needed it most. Outside the office, she and Tim share a love of historical documentaries, traveling to the places they've seen or just relaxing by the beach. When they’re not exploring together, they’re dividing and conquering the kids’ sports schedules — or being herded by their dogs, Murphy, Cleo and Josh.
Renato Prado
Lead Software Engineer
Renato is self-taught in a handful of musical instruments and writes software for a living. At some point the two stopped feeling like different things. What he likes in both is the messy middle — a thing that doesn't work yet, and figuring out the next part. He moved from Brazil to the US to pursue his degree. A year into Mechanical Engineering at Rose-Hulman he realized it wasn't the thing and switched to CS — late enough that it hurt, which is why he did it before it got later. At Aslan no two clients are in the same business, which suits someone who was never going to pick just one thing to be interested in.
